那智の滝へ坂道を下る
青岸渡寺から那智の滝まで坂を下っていきます。滝に近づいてくると石畳の階段が急になってきます。途中、木々の間から滝が見えますが、訪問日の数日前から天気の良い日が多かったためか、滝の水の量が少なめです。
那智の滝は飛龍（ひろう）神社の御神体として祀られています。鳥居からは飛龍神社の境内です。もう少し石畳の階段が続き、滝つぼまで下っていくことになります。訪問者の数も増えてきました。行楽日和の晴天なので、多くの方が訪れているようです。

いよいよ、滝の正面まできました。滝正面の鳥居のところからお参りをしました。水しぶきが飛んでくるほど近くではありませんが、滝を流れる水の音が、ゴーゴーと聞こえてきます。神武天皇が東征の際に舟の上から、那智の滝が輝くのをご覧になったと聞いたことがありますが、是非、舟の上からも見てみたいものです。
もう少し、滝に近づけるので、上にある展望ポイントに登りました。近づくと、さすがに水の音が凄まじくなります。水しぶきも少し飛んでくるので、滝を見ている実感が湧きます。ここでも滝に向かってお祈りをしました。さわやかで、すがすがしい気分を味わえる場所でした。
滝の水のおかげで、この場所は湿気が多いためか、伊勢路でよく見かけて苔に覆われたまん丸石が転がっていました。私の熊野三山巡りも、ここで終了となります。
最後に橋杭岩を眺める
大阪へ帰る「くろしお号」をＪＲ那智勝浦駅で乗る前に、奇岩群で有名な橋杭岩を訪れました。いろいろな伝説はあるようですが、それは置いといて、自然の風景として楽しみました。（完）

Going down the slope to Nachi Falls
I walked down the slope from Seigantoji Temple to Nachi Falls. As I got closer to the waterfall, the stone-paved stairs became steeper. On the way, I could see the waterfall through the trees, but the amount of water in the waterfall was low, probably due to the fact that there were many fine days a few days before my visit.
Nachi Falls was enshrined as the sacred body of Hirou Shrine. From the torii gate, I was in the precincts of Hirou Shrine. A few more stone steps led down to the waterfall basin. The number of visitors had been increasing. It was a sunny day for a holiday, so many people seemed to be visiting.

Finally, I reached the front of the waterfall. I paid my respect at the torii gate in front of the waterfall. I was not close enough to see the splashing water, but I could hear the sound of the water flowing through the waterfall. I have heard that Emperor Jinmu saw Nachi Falls shining from a boat during his expedition to the East, and I would love to see it from a boat.
I climbed up to the observation point at the top so I could get a little closer to the waterfall. As I got closer, the sound of the water was indeed tremendous. There was also a bit of spray, which made me feel that I was looking at a waterfall. Again, I prayed to the waterfall. It was a refreshing and invigorating place to be.
Perhaps because of the water from the waterfall, this place was very humid, and there were moss-covered round stones lying around, often seen on the Ise Road. This was where my tour of Kumano 3 temples came to an end.

Before boarding the “Kuroshio” train at JR Nachikatsuura Station to go back to Osaka, I visited Hashikui Rocks, which is famous for its strange rock formations. There are many legends about the rocks, but I put them aside and just enjoyed the natural scenery. (End)

Descente de la pente vers les chutes de Nachi
J’ai descendu la pente du temple Seigantoji jusqu’aux chutes de Nachi. Plus je me rapprochais de la cascade, plus les escaliers pavés devenaient raides. En chemin, je pouvais voir la cascade à travers les arbres, mais la quantité d’eau dans la cascade était faible, probablement en raison du fait qu’il y avait beaucoup de beaux jours quelques jours avant ma visite.
Les chutes de Nachi ont été consacrées comme le corps sacré du sanctuaire de Hirou. Depuis la porte du torii, j’étais dans l’enceinte du sanctuaire de Hirou. Quelques marches de pierre supplémentaires menaient au bassin de la cascade. Le nombre de visiteurs avait augmenté. C’était un jour ensoleillé pour un jour férié, donc beaucoup de gens semblaient être en visite.

Finalement, j’ai atteint l’avant de la chute d’eau. J’ai présenté mes respects à la porte du torii devant la cascade. Je n’étais pas assez près pour voir les éclaboussures d’eau, mais je pouvais entendre le son de l’eau qui coulait dans la cascade. J’ai entendu dire que l’empereur Jinmu a vu les chutes de Nachi briller depuis un bateau lors de son expédition en Orient, et j’aimerais bien les voir depuis un bateau.
J’ai grimpé jusqu’au point d’observation au sommet pour pouvoir m’approcher un peu plus de la chute d’eau. En m’approchant, le bruit de l’eau était en effet formidable. Il y avait aussi un peu d’eau pulvérisée, ce qui me donnait l’impression de regarder une chute d’eau. Encore une fois, j’ai prié pour la cascade. C’était un endroit rafraîchissant et vivifiant.
Peut-être à cause de l’eau de la cascade, cet endroit était très humide, et il y avait des pierres rondes couvertes de mousse, comme on en voit souvent sur la route d’Ise. C’est ici que s’est terminée ma visite des trois temples de Kumano.
Une vue finale des rochers Hashikui
Avant de monter dans le train “Kuroshio” à la gare JR de Nachikatsuura pour retourner à Osaka, j’ai visité les rochers de Hashikui, qui sont célèbres pour leurs étranges formations rocheuses. Il existe de nombreuses légendes sur ces rochers, mais je les ai mises de côté et j’ai simplement profité du paysage naturel. (Fin)
