勝尾寺

大阪北摂の西国霊場

私の妻は大阪北部の箕面市出身で、時々妻の実家を訪問するのに箕面まで行きます。その箕面にも西国霊場がありました。第23番札所 応頂山 勝尾寺（真言宗）です。北大阪急行千里中央駅から本数の少ないバスにのり、切り返しの多い山道を登って到着です。

当日は残念ながら雨で訪れる方もそれほど多くはありませんでした。おそらく団体で来るお客さんも多いのでしょう、立派な喫茶やお休み処が併設されています。山門をくぐると目の前に弁天池が広がり、そこに掛かる橋を越えていきます。

だるまさんがいっぱい

途中、道のあちこちにだるまが飾られています。お寺の名前に“勝つ”が入っている通り、ここは勝運の寺としても有名で、願いをかなえた方々がだるまに目をいれて納めに来られます。源氏・足利氏等各時代の覇者たちがここで、勝ち運を祈ったことが由来だそうです。

本堂での読経が始まりました。境内放送で響いています。御本尊の十一面千手観世音菩薩をお参りし、二階堂のあたりまで登ってみました。そこからは境内の全容がよく見えます。そこにも小さなだるまが集まっています。

東京でのセミナーで紹介

少し前、東京でのガイド向けセミナーを開催した際に、ある登壇者が関西の巡礼路ということで、大阪都心部から近い、この寺を紹介しました。その登壇者の講演がもう一つだったので、来ようと思った人はいなかったかもしれません。勝尾寺さん、すみませんでした。（完）

Katsuoji Temple (English)

Western Sacred Sites in Osaka’s Hokusetsu Region

My wife is from Minoh City in northern Osaka, and I sometimes go to Minoh to visit her parents. There is also a sacred site in Minoh. This is the 23rd temple, Ouchouzan Katsuoji Temple (Shingon sect). From Senri-Chuo Station on the Kita-Osaka Kyuko Line, I took a bus, which was not very frequent, and climbed up a mountain road with many turns to get there.

Unfortunately, it was raining that day, so there were not that many visitors. There was a magnificent cafe and resting place attached to the temple, probably because many visitors come in groups. After passing through the gate, the Benten Pond spread out in front of me, and I crossed over a bridge that hung there.

The temple is full of Bodhidharma dolls.

On the way to the mail hall, Daruma dolls were displayed all over the road. As the name of the temple has the word “win” in it, this temple is famous as a temple of luck, and people who have had their wishes fulfilled come here to put their eyes on the Daruma doll and give it back to the temple. It is said that the origin of this temple is that the Minamoto and Ashikaga clans and other powerful feudal lords of each era prayed here for luck in winning.

The sutra reading in the main hall has begun. It was echoed by a broadcast in the precincts. After visiting the eleven-faced thousand-armed Kannon Bodhisattva, I climbed up to the Nikaido area. From there, I could see the entire temple grounds clearly. There, too, small Daruma dolls were gathered.

Introduced at a seminar in Tokyo

Last year, when we held a seminar for interpreter guides in Tokyo, one of the speakers introduced this temple, which is close to downtown Osaka, as a pilgrimage route in Kansai. The speaker’s speech was not so good, so maybe no one decided to come. I apologize, Katsuoji-san. (End)

Sites sacrés occidentaux dans la région de Hokusetsu à Osaka

Ma femme est originaire de la ville de Minoh, dans le nord d’Osaka, et je vais parfois à Minoh pour rendre visite à ses parents. Il y a aussi un site sacré à Minoh. Il s’agit du 23e temple, le temple Ouchouzan Katsuoji (secte Shingon). Depuis la station Senri-Chuo de la ligne Kyuko de Kita-Osaka, j’ai pris un bus, qui n’était pas très fréquent, et j’ai grimpé une route de montagne avec de nombreux virages pour y arriver.

Malheureusement, il pleuvait ce jour-là et il n’y avait pas beaucoup de visiteurs. Il y avait un magnifique café et un lieu de repos attaché au temple, probablement parce que beaucoup de visiteurs viennent en groupe. Après avoir franchi la porte, l’étang de Benten s’étendait devant moi, et j’ai traversé un pont qui s’y trouvait.

Le temple est rempli de poupées de Bodhidharma.

Sur le chemin de la salle du courrier, des poupées Daruma étaient exposées tout le long de la route. Comme le nom du temple contient le mot “win”, ce temple est réputé pour être un temple de la chance, et les personnes dont les souhaits ont été exaucés viennent ici pour poser leurs yeux sur la poupée Daruma et la rendre au temple. On dit que l’origine de ce temple est que les clans Minamoto et Ashikaga et d’autres puissants seigneurs féodaux de chaque époque priaient ici pour avoir la chance de gagner.

La lecture des sutras dans la salle principale a commencé. Elle a été relayée par une diffusion dans l’enceinte. Après avoir rendu visite à la bodhisattva Kannon aux onze visages et aux mille bras, j’ai grimpé jusqu’à la zone Nikaido. De là, j’ai pu voir clairement l’ensemble du temple. Là aussi, de petites poupées Daruma étaient rassemblées.

Présenté lors d’un séminaire à Tokyo

L’année dernière, lorsque nous avons organisé un séminaire pour les guides interprètes à Tokyo, l’un des intervenants a présenté ce temple, qui se trouve près du centre-ville d’Osaka, comme un chemin de pèlerinage dans le Kansai. Le discours de l’orateur n’était pas très bon, alors peut-être que personne n’a décidé de venir. Je m’excuse, Katsuoji-san. (Fin)
