松尾寺

舞鶴方面の西国霊場

天橋立を出発し、舞鶴方面に向かいました。天気もよくなってきて明るい日差しのなか車を走らせます。正式名称は西国第29番 青葉山 松尾（まつのお）寺（真言宗醍醐派）です。ここは珍しく、馬頭観世音菩薩様が御本尊であります。

大阪から鉄道とバスを使い、徒歩での日帰り訪問をできないこともないのですが、成相寺を含め１日で行くことは不可能なので、車で来てよかったです。訪問した当時は、仁王門は修理中、金剛力士像自体も解体修理の最中で、お目にかかることはできませんでした。

また、宝物殿も閉まっていたため、本殿でお参りした後は、特にすることもなく境内にて数枚の写真を撮っていました。本殿に向かって右側から隣の建物に延びる屋根付きの回廊は風情がありましたので写真に収めました。

そのあと、御朱印をいただきました。お金を納める際に、お寺の方から車を乗って来たかと聞かれ、ハイと答えると駐車料金を請求されました。無料と思っていたのですが、ここで請求されるとは。御朱印をいただかない人は、払わず帰ってしまうのでは思ってしまいました。

こうして、日本海側の２寺訪問を無事に終えることができました。車でしたので、山道の参道を上る苦労、暑さにうだることもなかったのですが、その分、あっさりした訪問とな、記憶に残りにくいなと感じました。無理する必要はないのですが、多少は体を使って参拝する方が、ありがたさの感じ方が変わるようです。（完）

Matsunoo-Dera Temple (English)

Western Japan Sacred Sites in the Maizuru Area

We left Amanohashidate and headed for Maizuru. The weather was getting better and we drove in the bright sunshine. The official name of the temple is Matsunoo-Dera Temple, No. 29 in the western part of Japan (Daigo School of Shingon Buddhism). The main deity of this temple is the Bodhisattva Batou Kannon, which is a rare sight.

It was possible to make a day trip from Osaka on foot using the train and bus, but it was impossible to go there in one day including Nariaiji Temple, so I was glad I came by car. At the time of my visit, the Niomon gate was under repair and the statues of Kongorikishi themselvesself were in the process of dismantling and repairing, so I was unable to see them.

The Treasure Hall was also closed, so after paying my respects at the main shrine, I didn’t have much to do but take a few pictures in the precincts. I took some pictures of the covered corridor that stretched from the right side of the main hall to the next building, as it was very picturesque.

Red seal fee and parking fee

After that, I received a red seal. When I paid the money, the temple staff asked me if I drove my car here, and when I said yes, they charged me for parking. I thought it was free of charge, but I didn’t expect to be charged here.

In this way, I was able to finish my visit to the two temples on the Sea of Japan side. Since we were driving, we didn’t have the hardship of going up the mountain road or the heat, but I felt that the visit was easy and not memorable. There was no need to force myself, but I felt that I would feel more grateful if I used my body a little to visit the temple. (End)

Temple Matsunoo-Dera (Français)

Sites sacrés du Japon occidental dans la région de Maizuru

Nous avons quitté Amanohashidate pour nous diriger vers Maizuru. Le temps s’améliorait et nous avons roulé sous un soleil radieux. Le nom officiel du temple est le temple Matsunoo-Dera, n° 29 dans la partie occidentale du Japon (école Daigo du bouddhisme Shingon). La divinité principale de ce temple est le Bodhisattva Batou Kannon, ce qui est rare.

Il était possible de faire un voyage d’une journée à partir d’Osaka à pied en utilisant le train et le bus, mais il était impossible d’y aller en une journée en incluant le temple Nariaiji, donc j’étais content d’être venu en voiture. Au moment de ma visite, la porte Niomon était en réparation et les statues de Kongorikishi elles-mêmes étaient en cours de démontage et de réparation, je n’ai donc pas pu les voir.

La salle du Trésor était également fermée, donc après avoir rendu mes hommages au sanctuaire principal, je n’avais pas grand-chose à faire à part prendre quelques photos dans l’enceinte. J’ai pris quelques photos du couloir couvert qui s’étendait du côté droit du hall principal au bâtiment suivant, car il était très pittoresque.

Après cela, j’ai reçu un sceau rouge. Lorsque j’ai payé l’argent, le personnel du temple m’a demandé si je conduisais ma voiture ici, et lorsque j’ai répondu oui, ils m’ont fait payer le parking. Je pensais que c’était gratuit, mais je ne m’attendais pas à être facturé ici.

De cette façon, j’ai pu terminer ma visite des deux temples du côté de la mer du Japon. Comme nous étions en voiture, nous n’avons pas eu la difficulté de monter la route de montagne ni la chaleur, mais j’ai eu l’impression que la visite était facile et pas mémorable. Il n’y avait pas besoin de se forcer, mais j’ai senti que je me sentirais plus reconnaissant si j’utilisais un peu mon corps pour visiter le temple. (Fin)
