大阪府南部にある岸和田城
本日紹介する岸和田城は、大阪府の南部にある城です。現在は三層の天守ですが、本来は五層の天守が建っていたそうです。子供のころ、南海電車で和歌山方面に向かう時に小さなお城があるのでいつも気になっていました。
ここ数年、仕事で岸和田に行く機会が増え、何度か打合せの合間をみつけて、天守に登ったり、桜の季節に写真を撮ったりしました。この天守の最上階では結婚式も行われるそうです。岸和田の方々は地元愛が強いと聞いているので、城下を眺めての結婚式も、二人の記憶に残るものだと思います。
石垣の下の犬走を歩く
岸和田市のある公募型の観光プロポーザルの説明会に参加した時、普段は入れない、石垣の最下部まで案内していただきました。濠と石垣の間に狭いスペースがあり、道のようになっています。「犬走」とよばれていますが、堀を越えてくる敵に対峙できる場所ですが、逆に堀を越えて侵入してくる者には、上陸できる場所にもなってしまいます。
かつては50人の忍者がいたらしい
1640年、岸和田城に岡部宣勝が入城して以降、岡部家は13代続いて、明治維新を迎えました。また、この岸和田城には、江戸時代に甲賀忍者が50名存在したことが古文書より明らかになっています。常に50名が雇われていたわけではなさそうですが、5万石の城主にとっては大きな人数だと思われます。
また、櫓の中にも入れていただきましたが、再建のコンクリート製なので、応接室になっていました。この岸和田城のすぐ西側には紀州街道が通っています。昔の面影を残した建物が街道沿いに残っていますので、散策するのもお薦めです。（完）

Kishiwada Castle (1) (English)
Kishiwada Castle in the southern part of Osaka Prefecture
Kishiwada Castle, which I will introduce today, is located in the southern part of Osaka Prefecture. It is currently a three-story castle tower, but originally a five-story tower was built there. When I was a child, I was always curious about the small castle when I took the Nankai train heading for Wakayama.
In the past few years, I have had more and more opportunities to visit Kishiwada for work, and I have taken time out from my meetings to climb the castle tower and take pictures during the cherry blossom season. I heard that weddings are also held on the top floor of this castle tower. I’ve heard that the people of Kishiwada have a strong love for their hometown, so a wedding ceremony with a view of the castle will be something they will remember for a long time.
Walking along “Inu Bashiri” (the dog run) under the stone wall
When I attended a briefing session for a public tourism proposal in Kishiwada City, I was guided to the bottom of the stone wall, which is not usually accessible. There is a narrow space between the moat and the stone wall, and it is like a path. It is a place to confront enemies coming over the moat, but it is also a place where those coming over the moat can land.
Apparently there used to be 50 ninjas.
In 1640, Okabe Nobukatsu entered Kishiwada Castle, and the Okabe family continued for 13 generations until the Meiji Restoration. It is also known from ancient documents that there were 50 Kouga ninjas in Kishiwada Castle during the Edo period. It seems that 50 ninjas were not always employed, but it was a large number for a lord of a castle with 50,000 koku.
We were also allowed into the turret, but it was made of reconstructed concrete and was used as a reception room. Just to the west of Kishiwada Castle is the Kishu Kaido highway. It is recommended to take a stroll along the Kishu Kaido Road, as there are still some buildings along the road that retain the atmosphere of the old days. (End)

Le château de Kishiwada, dans le sud de la préfecture d’Osaka.
Le château de Kishiwada, que je vais vous présenter aujourd’hui, est situé dans la partie sud de la préfecture d’Osaka. Il s’agit actuellement d’une tour de château de trois étages, mais à l’origine, une tour de cinq étages y a été construite. Quand j’étais enfant, j’étais toujours curieux de voir ce petit château lorsque je prenais le train Nankai en direction de Wakayama.
Ces dernières années, j’ai eu de plus en plus souvent l’occasion de me rendre à Kishiwada pour mon travail, et j’ai pris le temps, pendant mes réunions, de monter dans la tour du château et de prendre des photos pendant la saison des cerisiers en fleurs. J’ai entendu dire que des mariages sont également organisés au dernier étage de cette tour du château. J’ai entendu dire que les habitants de Kishiwada aiment beaucoup leur ville natale et qu’une cérémonie de mariage avec vue sur le château sera quelque chose dont ils se souviendront longtemps.

Lorsque j’ai assisté à une séance d’information sur une proposition de tourisme public dans la ville de Kishiwada, j’ai été guidé jusqu’au pied du mur de pierre, qui n’est généralement pas accessible. Il y a un espace étroit entre les douves et le mur de pierre, et c’est comme un chemin. C’est un endroit pour affronter les ennemis qui traversent les douves, mais c’est aussi un endroit où ceux qui traversent les douves peuvent atterrir.

Il est recommandé de faire une promenade le long de la route Kishu Kaido, car il y a encore quelques bâtiments le long de la route qui conservent l’atmosphère d’autrefois. (Fin)
