山科で紅葉を楽しむ
天台宗の門跡寺院の一つ、毘沙門堂は京都の山科にあります。JR山科駅から一路、北に真っすぐになだらかな坂道を上がっていきます。今回は紅葉が目当てだったのですが、少しタイミングが遅れたようで、盛りの時期を過ぎていました。
石段を登った先に仁王門があります。ピークを過ぎたとは言え、途中の樹々にはまだ紅葉が残っています。真っ赤な門の両横に迫力のある顔でこちらを睨んでいる阿形さんと吽形さん。それぞれに挨拶をしてから門をくぐりました。
紅葉を探してうろうろ
正面に本堂が建っています。朱色の入口が秋の青空に映えています。本堂から建物内に入り、廊下を伝って霊殿に行きますと、これから結婚式を挙げるのでしょうか、事前撮影に来た新郎新婦が紅葉の前で記念写真をプロのカメラマンに撮ってもらっていました。そこから宸殿にまで行き、晩翠園という中庭を眺めました。紅葉が落ちているのが残念でしたが。
建物から境内に出て、もっと紅葉のある場所をさがしました。弁財天を祀っている辺りは池もあり、紅葉も赤いまま残っています。また、落ちた紅葉が浮かぶ池は一段と秋の風情を感じさせてくれました。最近のお気に入りは、池に浮かぶ紅葉です。
夕日でさらに赤みが増す
帰りは、勅使門の前の階段を下っていきます。どこから集まったのか、多くの外国人の方が着物姿で互いに写真を取り合っています。コロナ禍ですから、日本に学びにきている留学生の方々かも知れません。ここの石段には落ちた紅葉が残っていて、ポスターで見ていた光景が、そのまま目の前に現れています。日が傾いてきたので、辺り一面が一層オレンジ色に包まれていました。（完）

Enjoying the autumn leaves in Yamashina
Bishamondo, one of the Tendai sect temples, is located in Yamashina, Kyoto, straight north from JR Yamashina Station on a gentle slope. This time, I was there to see the autumn leaves, but my timing was a little late, and the leaves were past their prime.
The Niomon gate is located at the top of the stone steps. Although the peak season has passed, the trees along the way are still covered with autumn leaves. On either side of the red gate, there were two powerful figures, Agyo-san and Ungyo-san, staring at us. After greeting each of them, we passed through the gate.
Wandering around looking for autumn leaves
The main hall stands in front. The vermilion entrance shines in the blue autumn sky. As I entered the building from the main hall and walked along the corridor to the Ryoden hall, I saw a bride and groom, probably about to hold their wedding ceremony, having their photo taken in front of the autumn leaves by a professional photographer. From there, we walked to the Imperial palace and looked at the courtyard called Bansuien. It was a pity that the autumn leaves had fallen.
I walked out of the building into the precincts and looked for a place with more colored leaves. There is a pond around the area where Benzaiten is enshrined, and the leaves are still red. The pond, with the fallen leaves floating in the water, made me feel the autumn atmosphere even more. My recent favorite is the autumn leaves floating in the pond.
The setting sun makes it even more reddish.
On the way back, we walked down the stairs in front of the imperial gate. I don’t know where they came from, but there were many foreigners in kimono taking pictures of each other. Since now is the Corona disaster, they might be foreign students coming to Japan to study. The stone steps here were covered with fallen autumn leaves, and the scene I had seen on the posters was right in front of me. As the sun was setting, the whole area was enveloped in an even more orange hue. (End)

Profiter des feuilles d’automne à Yamashina
Bishamondo, l’un des temples de la secte Tendai, est situé à Yamashina, Kyoto, directement au nord de la gare JR Yamashina, sur une pente douce. Cette fois, j’étais là pour voir les feuilles d’automne, mais mon timing était un peu tardif, et les feuilles n’étaient plus à leur meilleur.
La porte Niomon est située en haut des marches en pierre. Bien que la haute saison soit passée, les arbres le long du chemin sont encore couverts de feuilles d’automne. De chaque côté de la porte rouge, deux personnages puissants, Agyo-san et Ungyo-san, nous regardaient fixement. Après les avoir salués, nous avons franchi la porte.
Se promener à la recherche de feuilles d’automne
Le hall principal se dresse devant. L’entrée vermillon brille dans le ciel bleu d’automne. En entrant dans le bâtiment par le hall principal et en longeant le couloir jusqu’à la salle Ryoden, j’ai vu des mariés, probablement sur le point de célébrer leur cérémonie de mariage, se faire prendre en photo devant les feuilles d’automne par un photographe professionnel. De là, nous nous sommes dirigés vers le palais impérial et avons regardé la cour appelée Bansuien. C’était dommage que les feuilles d’automne soient tombées.
Je suis sorti du bâtiment dans les quartiers et j’ai cherché un endroit avec des feuilles plus colorées. Il y a un étang autour de la zone où Benzaiten est enchâssé, et les feuilles sont encore rouges. L’étang, avec les feuilles mortes flottant dans l’eau, m’a fait ressentir encore plus l’atmosphère automnale. Les feuilles d’automne flottant dans l’étang sont mes dernières préférées.
Le soleil couchant la rend encore plus rougeâtre.
Sur le chemin du retour, nous avons descendu les escaliers devant la porte impériale. Je ne sais pas d’où ils venaient, mais il y avait beaucoup d’étrangers en kimono qui prenaient des photos les uns des autres. Comme c’est le moment de la catastrophe de Corona, ce sont peut-être des étudiants étrangers qui viennent au Japon pour étudier. Les marches en pierre étaient couvertes de feuilles d’automne, et la scène que j’avais vue sur les affiches était juste devant moi. Comme le soleil se couchait, toute la zone était enveloppée d’une teinte encore plus orange. (Fin)
