江ノ電（スラムダンクの踏切）

アニメの聖地へ

神奈川県の藤沢に出張することがあり、昼過ぎまでに所用を済ませて鎌倉を訪れたいと考えていました。せっかくなのでJRで行くよりも、湘南の海沿いに江ノ電に乗っていこうと、乗り降り自由の切符を買って乗車しました。

江ノ電に乗るのも10年以上前以来です。日本の歴史・文化を紹介する仕事をするようになって知ったのは、日本に来られる外国人の方の中には、日本製のアニメのことをよく観ていた方も多いということです。有名なアニメの舞台になった土地、いわゆるアニメの聖地を周遊する外国人も多いと聞いています。

スラムダンクの踏切

今回は、せっかくの晴天でしたので、アニメ「スラムダンク」で登場する江ノ電の踏切（鎌倉高校前駅のすぐ近く）の写真を撮影することにしました。アニメの主題歌のシーンのように、電車が通っているときがベストタイミングと考え、撮影しましたが、生憎、太陽が雲に隠れてしまって、写真全体が暗くなってしまいました。

晴れた風景を撮影したかったので、次の電車を待つことにしました。太陽がようやく雲から抜け出し、明るくなってきました。踏切の警報機も鳴りだし、いよいよというタイミングで、たくさんの人が撮影に現れました。電車が通る直前に、前に飛び出した人がいて、その人物が写真の中に入ってしまいました。

仕方ないので、もう少し踏切に近づいて、すぐに来る反対方向の電車を待ちました。今回は、上手く取れました。アニメと同じようなシーンの写真を撮ることができて満足しました。すぐにツイッターとラインでシェアをして、駅に戻ります。

江ノ島と湘南の海

駅からは、太陽光をきらきらと反射させる湘南の海の中に、江ノ島の姿が見えました。秋も深まっていましたが、真夏のような明るさを感じさせる光景でした。（完）

Enoden (Slam Dunk Crossing) (English)

To the Holy Land of Animation

I had to go on a business trip to Fujisawa in Kanagawa Prefecture and wanted to visit Kamakura. For this reason I tried to finish my business by mid-afternoon. Rather than taking the JR train, I decided to take the Enoden train along the Shonan coast, and bought a ticket that allowed me to get on and off the train freely all day.

I haven’t taken the Enoden train since more than 10 years ago. What I have learned since I started working to introduce Japanese history and culture to foreigners is that many of the foreigners who come to Japan have watched a lot of Japanese animation. I have heard that there are many foreigners who tour the so-called “holy land” of animation, the land where the famous animations were set.

Slam Dunk Crossing

This time, since it was a sunny day, I decided to take a picture of the Enoden crossing (near Kamakura High School Station) that appears in the animation “Slam Dunk”. I thought the best time to take the photo was when the train was passing by, just like the scene in the anime’s theme song, but unfortunately, the sun was hidden by clouds and the whole photo turned out to be dark.

I wanted to take pictures of the clear scenery, so I decided to wait for the next train. The sun finally broke through the clouds and it was getting brighter. The crossing alarms started to go off, and just when I thought it was time to go, a lot of people showed up to take pictures. Just before the train came through, someone jumped out in front of me, and that person ended up in the photo.

I had no choice but to get a little closer to the crossing and wait for the train in the opposite direction that was coming soon. This time, I was able to get a good shot. I was happy to be able to take a picture of the scene just like in the cartoon. I quickly shared it on Twitter and Line, and headed back to the station.

Enoshima island and the Shonan Sea

From the station, I could see Enoshima Island in the Shonan sea that reflected the sunlight glittering off it. It was deepening into autumn, but the scene was as bright as midsummer. (End)

Vers la Terre Sainte de l’animation

Je devais faire un voyage d’affaires à Fujisawa dans la préfecture de Kanagawa et je voulais visiter Kamakura. Pour cette raison, j’ai essayé de terminer mon voyage d’affaires en milieu d’après-midi. Plutôt que de prendre le train JR, j’ai décidé de prendre le train Enoden le long de la côte de Shonan, et j’ai acheté un billet qui me permettait de monter et descendre du train librement toute la journée.

Je n’ai pas pris le train Enoden depuis plus de 10 ans. Ce que j’ai appris depuis que j’ai commencé à présenter l’histoire et la culture japonaises aux étrangers, c’est que de nombreux étrangers qui viennent au Japon ont regardé beaucoup de films d’animation japonais. J’ai entendu dire que de nombreux étrangers visitent ce que l’on appelle la “terre sainte” de l’animation, la terre où les célèbres animations ont été tournées.

Cette fois, comme c’était une journée ensoleillée, j’ai décidé de prendre une photo du passage à niveau Enoden (près de la station Kamakura High School) qui apparaît dans l’animation “Slam Dunk”. J’ai pensé que le meilleur moment pour prendre la photo était le passage du train, comme dans la scène de la chanson thème de l’anime, mais malheureusement, le soleil était caché par les nuages et toute la photo s’est avérée sombre.

Je voulais prendre des photos du paysage clair, alors j’ai décidé d’attendre le prochain train. Le soleil a finalement percé les nuages et il faisait de plus en plus clair. Les alarmes du passage à niveau ont commencé à se déclencher, et juste au moment où je pensais qu’il était temps de partir, beaucoup de gens sont arrivés pour prendre des photos. Juste avant le passage du train, quelqu’un a sauté devant moi, et cette personne s’est retrouvée sur la photo.

Je n’avais pas d’autre choix que de m’approcher un peu plus du passage à niveau et d’attendre le train en sens inverse qui allait bientôt arriver. Cette fois, j’ai pu prendre une bonne photo. J’étais heureux de pouvoir prendre une photo de la scène comme dans le dessin animé. Je l’ai rapidement partagée sur Twitter et Line, et je suis retourné à la gare.

L’île d’Enoshima et la mer de Shonan

Depuis la gare, je pouvais voir l’île d’Enoshima dans la mer de Shonan qui reflétait les rayons du soleil. L’automne s’installait, mais la scène était aussi lumineuse qu’en plein été. (Fin)
