長野県での仕事が夜に終わり、当日中に大阪へ戻れないため、松本まで移動してホテルに泊まりました。翌朝は快晴、いや暑いくらいでしたが、松本を散策して松本城を見学してきました。今も毎年黒漆を塗り替えているという天守の黒光した姿が、深く印象に残りました。お昼過ぎの名古屋行き特急「しなの」に乗る前に、駅でご当地弁当がないかと探して購入したのが、今回の「地鶏めし」弁当です。
当日は、修学旅行の団体と思われる中学生が、たくさん同じ車内に乗車していました。道中騒がしいかなと心配しましたが、コロナ禍のためか、先生に静かにするように言われているみたいで、車中では皆さん静かにしていました。ただ、それはそれで、せっかくの修学旅行で、友達と楽しくおしゃべりすることもできず、かわいそうに思えました。
さて、弁当の蓋を開けると、3分の１のスペースを新鮮な野菜サラダが占めています。最近は駅弁と買う際に、別売りサラダも買っていましたが、今回の弁当はサラダ付きなので、別売りを買う必要がありませんでした。醤油風味のドレッシングも入っていました。
地鶏のブランド名はわかりませんが、至って普通の味で、食べやすく、中央本線の景色を楽しみながら食べることが出来ました。牛肉の弁当をよく買っていたのですが、鶏肉の弁当もあっさりしていてランンチ用の弁当として気に入れいました。やっぱり、お値段に比べて、鶏肉はボリュームが多いので、食べ応えもあります。有名でもないローカル弁当を楽しむのも、駅弁お楽しみ方の１つでしょうか。（完）

My work in Nagano Prefecture ended at night, and since I could not return to Osaka by the end of the day, I traveled to Matsumoto and stayed at a hotel. The next morning was sunny, or rather hot, but I took a walk around Matsumoto and visited Matsumoto Castle. I was deeply impressed by the shiny black appearance of the castle keep, which is still repainted with black lacquer every year. Before boarding the “Shinano” limited express train bound for Nagoya a little after noon, I searched for a local bento lunch box at the station and purchased this “Jidori Meshi” bento.
On the day of the tour, many junior high school students, who appeared to be a group on a school excursion, were riding in the same car. I was worried that it might be noisy on the way, but everyone was quiet in the car, as if they had been told to be quiet by their teachers, perhaps because of the Covid 19. However, I felt sorry for them because they could not enjoy chatting with their friends during the school trip.
Then, when I opened the lid of the bento, a third of the space was taken up by a fresh vegetable salad. Lately, when I buy ekiben, I also buy a separate salad, but since this bento came with a salad, there was no need to buy a separate salad. It also included a soy sauce flavored dressing.
I don’t know the brand name of the jidori chicken, but it tasted perfectly normal and was easy to eat while enjoying the view of the Chuo Main Line. I often buy beef bento, but the chicken bento was also light and I liked it as a food box for lunch. Compared to the price, the chicken lunch box is very hearty and filling. Enjoying a local bento that is not famous is one of the ways to enjoy ekiben, isn’t it? (End)

Mon travail dans la préfecture de Nagano s’est terminé le soir, et comme je ne pouvais pas retourner à Osaka avant la fin de la journée, je me suis rendu à Matsumoto et suis resté à l’hôtel. Le lendemain matin était ensoleillé, ou plutôt chaud, mais j’ai fait une promenade dans Matsumoto et visité le château de Matsumoto. J’ai été très impressionné par l’aspect noir brillant du donjon du château, qui est toujours repeint de laque noire chaque année. Avant de monter dans le train express limité “Shinano” à destination de Nagoya un peu après midi, j’ai cherché une boîte à bento locale à la gare et j’ai acheté ce bento “Jidori Meshi”.
Le jour de la visite, de nombreux élèves du premier cycle du secondaire, qui semblaient faire partie d’un groupe en excursion scolaire, étaient dans la même voiture. Je craignais que le trajet ne soit bruyant, mais tout le monde était silencieux dans la voiture, comme si leurs professeurs leur avaient dit de se taire, peut-être à cause du Covid 19. Cependant, j’ai eu de la peine pour eux car ils n’ont pas pu profiter du voyage scolaire pour discuter avec leurs amis.
Ensuite, lorsque j’ai ouvert le couvercle du bento, un tiers de l’espace était occupé par une salade de légumes frais. Ces derniers temps, lorsque j’achète des ekiben, j’achète aussi une salade séparée, mais comme ce bento était livré avec une salade, il n’était pas nécessaire d’en acheter une séparément. Il comprenait également une vinaigrette aromatisée à la sauce soja.
Je ne connais pas la marque du poulet jidori, mais il avait un goût parfaitement normal et était facile à manger tout en profitant de la vue sur la Chuo Main Line. J’achète souvent des bento au bœuf, mais le bento au poulet était également léger et je l’ai apprécié comme boîte à lunch. Comparé au prix, le bento au poulet est très copieux et rassasiant. Apprécier un bento local qui n’est pas célèbre est l’une des façons d’apprécier l’ekiben, n’est-ce pas ? (Fin)
