今年の夏休みは、関西から外に出て行く予定は立てず、もっぱら自宅に籠って読書あるいはフランス語の勉強をするつもりでした。ただ、妻がパートタイムジョブに出る日も何日があったので、そういう日は少し外出しました。大阪からJRの新快速で１時間で行ける行き先に、滋賀県の坂本があります。今回はこの坂本に日帰りで行ってきました。
JR湖西線の比叡山坂本駅で下車して、タクシーに乗るつもりが、１台もいないので、仕方なく西教寺まで歩くことにしました。30分程度と聞いていましたが、真夏でしたので、汗だくになりながら坂道を登って行きました。途中、古い街並みを通って行きましたが、歩いて見ないと出会えない街並みに出会えました。
ようやく西教寺の山門まで辿り着きました。ここからも本堂までは坂道が続いています。すでに汗だくなので、この坂道でさらに汗が福田してきました。坂道を登ると左手に宗祖大師殿の立派な唐門があります。カラフルな装飾こそありませんが、厳かな威圧感のある唐門です。
さらに階段を登っていくと、風鈴がたくさん飾られています。風が吹いていないので、音はしないのですが、夏のイベントで風鈴をたくさん参道に飾っていました。本堂まで来ると、その横にお墓があります。これこそ、明智光秀とその一族のお墓です。数年前のNHK大河ドラマ「麒麟がゆく」が放映されていた当時は、多くの観光客が訪れたと思われますが、すでにブームが去ったので、訪問者は数えるほどしかいませんでした。
境内の散策はここまでとして、本堂の中に入って行きます。30分以上、外を歩いたせいか、水分を十分に摂らないと熱中症になりそうな暑さです。ようやく建物の中に入れますので、少しホッとしました。

Saikyoji Temple (1) (Sakamoto, Shiga Prefecture)
This summer vacation, I did not plan to go out of the Kansai region. I was going to stay at home and read or study French. However, there were a few days when my wife had a part-time job, so I went out a little on those days. One such destination is Sakamoto in Shiga Prefecture, which is only an hour away from Osaka on the JR New Rapid train. This time I went to Sakamoto for a day trip.
I got off at Hieizan Sakamoto Station on the JR Kosei Line and was going to take a cab, but there were none available, so I had no choice but to walk to Saikyoji Temple, which I was told would take about 30 minutes, but it was mid-summer and I was sweating as I walked up the hill. On the way, I passed through old streets, which I could not have seen without walking.
Finally, I arrived at the gate of Saikyoji Temple. From here, there was another slope leading up to the main hall. I was already sweating, so this slope made me sweat even more. Climbing up the slope, there is the magnificent Karamon gate of the Shuso Daishi Hall on the left. There were no colorful decorations, but it is a stern and intimidating gate.
Climbing further up the stairs, I saw many wind chimes decorated. Since the wind was not blowing, there was no sound, but many wind chimes were decorated on the approach to the temple for a summer event. When I came to the main hall, there was a grave next to it. This is the grave of Mitsuhide Akechi and his family. When the NHK historical drama “Kirin ga yuku” was aired a few years ago, many tourists probably visited this place, but since the boom has already passed, there were only a few visitors.
After walking around the grounds of the temple, I entered the main hall, where it was hot enough to cause heat stroke if I did not drink enough water, probably because I had been walking outside for more than 30 minutes. I was a little relieved to finally be able to enter the building.(End)
Temple Saikyoji (1) (Sakamoto, préfecture de Shiga)
Pendant les vacances d’été, je n’avais pas prévu de sortir de la région du Kansai. J’avais l’intention de rester à la maison et de lire ou d’étudier le français. Cependant, il y a eu quelques jours où ma femme avait un travail à temps partiel, alors je suis sorti un peu ces jours-là. L’une de ces destinations est Sakamoto, dans la préfecture de Shiga, qui n’est qu’à une heure d’Osaka par le train JR New Rapid. Cette fois, je suis allé à Sakamoto pour une excursion d’une journée.
Je suis descendu à la station Hieizan Sakamoto de la ligne JR Kosei et j’allais prendre un taxi, mais il n’y en avait pas. Je n’avais donc pas d’autre choix que de marcher jusqu’au temple Saikyoji, ce qui, m’a-t-on dit, prendrait environ 30 minutes, mais c’était le milieu de l’été et je transpirais en montant la colline. En chemin, je suis passée par de vieilles rues, que je n’aurais pas pu voir sans marcher.
Finalement, je suis arrivé à la porte du temple Saikyoji. De là, il y avait une autre pente menant à la salle principale. Je transpirais déjà, alors cette pente m’a fait transpirer encore plus. En montant la pente, il y a la magnifique porte Karamon du hall Shuso Daishi sur la gauche. Il n’y a pas de décorations colorées, mais c’est une porte sévère et intimidante.
En montant encore les escaliers, j’ai vu de nombreux carillons à vent décorés. Comme le vent ne soufflait pas, il n’y avait pas de son, mais de nombreux carillons à vent étaient décorés à l’approche du temple pour un événement estival. Quand je suis arrivé dans le hall principal, il y avait une tombe à côté. C’est la tombe de Mitsuhide Akechi et de sa famille. Lorsque le drame historique de la NHK “Kirin ga yuku” a été diffusé il y a quelques années, de nombreux touristes ont probablement visité cet endroit, mais comme le boom est déjà passé, il n’y avait que quelques visiteurs.
Après avoir fait le tour du temple, je suis entré dans le hall principal, où il faisait assez chaud pour provoquer un coup de chaleur si je ne buvais pas assez d’eau, probablement parce que j’avais marché dehors pendant plus de 30 minutes. J’étais un peu soulagé de pouvoir enfin entrer dans le bâtiment.
