金閣寺③ 真横から裏側へ（京都府京都市）

いよいよ金閣の横に出てきました。間近で見ると、太陽が反射して、金閣が、ますます神々しい黄金色に輝きます。中に入れない、あるいは、中を見られないので、隣の建物に掛けてある内部の写真を見ながら、お連れした皆さんの理解を深めています。

ここまで来ると、金箔の張り合わせの様子が見えてきます。何枚も何枚も貼り付けられた金箔の多さに、多くの方が驚かれます。内部の黒漆も見ることができれば、その漆黒の輝きに多くの方が感動するのではないかと、想像しています。池を離れる辺りには、鯉が泳いでいたりするので、観光客の方が喜ばれることもあります。

ここから、金閣の裏手に回っていきます。お茶会に使う水が湧いている泉や、鯉の形をした鯉魚石（りぎょせき）が小さな滝に打たれていたり、案内する場所があるのですが、皆さんそれほど興味がないのか、ガイドさん達もあまり解説していないようです。

前にも話しましたが、“This is a Carp Stone.”で済ませているガイドさんがいましたが、もう少し、興味を湧くようなお話をしていただけないものかと、残念は気がしました。おそらく、お客様の顔色を見て、興味がなさそうなので、それ以上の説明をしなかったと好意的に理解しておきます。

さあ、いよいよ金閣が最後に見えるところまで出てきました。坂を上って振りかえると、金閣の裏側が見えます。ここは少し開けた場所なのですが、グループ写真の撮影が禁止されています。ここで、皆さん撮影しだすと、前に進まなくなるからでしょう。金閣に別れを告げて、さらに坂を乗っていきます。（完）

Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion) Temple (3) From right beside to behind the temple (Kyoto, Japan)

We finally came out to the side of the Golden Pavilion. Up close, the sun reflects off the Golden Pavilion, making it glow an even more divine golden color. Since we cannot enter or see inside, we look at the pictures of the interior hanging on the building next to us to help everyone we brought along understand it better.

At this point, we can see how the gold leaf is laminated together. Many are surprised to see how many layers of gold leaf have been pasted on. I imagine that if you could also see the black lacquer inside, you would be impressed by its jet-black brilliance. Around the area leaving the pond, there are some carp swimming around, which is sometimes appreciated by tourists.

From here, go around to the back of the Golden Pavilion. There is a spring that supplies water used for tea ceremonies, a small waterfall with a carp-shaped stone, and other places to show visitors around, but the guides do not seem to be very interested in explaining much about them.

As I mentioned before, there was a guide who simply said, “This is a Carp Stone.” I understand that the guide was probably looking at the visitor’s face and did not give any further explanation because the visitor did not seem to be interested.

Now, finally, we came out to the last view of the Golden Pavilion. As you walk up the hill and turn around, you can see the back side of the Golden Pavilion. This is a bit of an open area, but group photos are not allowed. This is probably because if everyone starts taking pictures here, they will not be able to move forward. We bid farewell to the Golden Pavilion and continue riding further up the hill. (End)

Temple Kinkakuji (Pavillon d’or) (3) De la droite à l’arrière du temple (Kyoto, Japon)

Nous sommes finalement arrivés sur le côté du Pavillon d’or. De près, le soleil se reflète sur le Pavillon d’or, le faisant briller d’une couleur dorée encore plus divine. Comme nous ne pouvons pas entrer ou voir à l’intérieur, nous regardons les photos de l’intérieur accrochées sur le bâtiment à côté de nous pour aider tous ceux que nous avons amenés à mieux comprendre.

À ce stade, nous pouvons voir comment les feuilles d’or sont laminées ensemble. Beaucoup sont surpris de voir combien de couches de feuilles d’or ont été collées. J’imagine que si vous pouviez également voir la laque noire à l’intérieur, vous seriez impressionnés par sa brillance noire de jais. Autour de la zone sortant de l’étang, il y a quelques carpes qui nagent, ce qui est parfois apprécié par les touristes.

De là, faites le tour jusqu’à l’arrière du Pavillon d’or. Il y a une source qui fournit l’eau utilisée pour les cérémonies du thé, une petite chute d’eau avec une pierre en forme de carpe, et d’autres endroits à montrer aux visiteurs, mais les guides ne semblent pas très intéressés à en expliquer beaucoup.

Comme je l’ai déjà mentionné, un guide a simplement dit : “C’est une pierre en forme de carpe”. Je comprends que le guide regardait probablement le visage du visiteur et n’a pas donné d’autres explications parce que le visiteur ne semblait pas être intéressé.

Enfin, nous sommes arrivés à la dernière vue du Pavillon d’or. En montant la colline et en se retournant, on peut voir l’arrière du Pavillon d’or. C’est une zone un peu ouverte, mais les photos de groupe ne sont pas autorisées. C’est probablement parce que si tout le monde commence à prendre des photos ici, ils ne pourront pas avancer. Nous faisons nos adieux au Pavillon d’or et continuons à monter la colline. (Fin)
