名建築で昼食を！① 大阪農林会館

リストランテ・イタリアーノ「コロッセオ」

テレビ番組で、「名建築で昼食を」というシリーズ番組を見ました。元々は東京のレトロ建築で放送されたものですが、2022年度は大阪編が作成され、大阪のレトロな建築を紹介していました。毎回、レトロ建築の中で営業する飲食店での昼食も放送されます。家から近いこともあり、紹介されたレストランでランチを食べにいくことにしました。

今回訪問したのは、大阪農林会館のビルです。大阪の南船場にありますが、当日は地下鉄御堂筋線の心斎橋駅から歩いて向かいました。駅から少し北に向かって歩くと、歴史を感じさせるビルが見えてきました。1930年に三菱商事大阪支店として、三菱地所が設計し、建設されました。今回は、その地階にあるイタリア料理店「コロッセオ」にてランチを食べることにしました。

地下に向かう階段の入り口には、ライオンの形をした白い石像が、私たちを出迎えてくれました。予約の際に、コースメニューを頼んでいたので、オーダー時には、パスタにするかリゾットにするか決めるだけでした。まだ残暑厳しい時期でしたので、オードブルの後に出てきた、ビーツの冷たいスープが、体を冷やしてくれました。もちろん、味も美味しかったですよ。

今回は、私はリゾットを選び、妻はパスタを選びました。リゾットは、野菜が主体で、味はやや薄めでした。ランチなので、量も適量。ただし、妻は少食なので、彼女が選んだパスタの３分の１程度は、私が食べました。それでお腹いっぱいになりました。デザートにジェラートを食べて、ランチ終了。

支払いの際に、レストランの名刺をいただきました。コロッセオとは、ローマにある円形闘技場。私も過去に２度訪問したことがあります。その昔は、ここで剣闘士同士の戦い、あるいは、猛獣と剣闘士の戦いなど、ローマ市民を熱狂させた催しが数多く開催されていたそうです。当時に生まれていれば、その戦いのシーンを見てみたかったと思いますが、自分が剣闘士の立場になっていたら、ゾッとします。（完）

Ristorante Italiano “Colosseo”.

I watched a TV program series called “Lunch at a Famous Building”. Originally broadcast on retro architecture in Tokyo, an Osaka version was created in FY2022 and introduced retro architecture in Osaka. Each time, lunch at a restaurant operating in the retro architecture is also aired. Being close to my house, I decided to have lunch at one of the restaurants introduced.

The building we visited was the Osaka Norin Kaikan building. It is located in Minami-Semba, Osaka, but on the day of our visit, we walked there from Shinsaibashi Station on the Midosuji Subway Line. Walking a little north from the station, we saw a building that evokes a sense of history: it was designed and built by Mitsubishi Estate in 1930 as the Osaka branch of Mitsubishi Corporation. We decided to have lunch at “Colosseo”, an Italian restaurant on the basement floor.

A white stone statue in the shape of a lion greeted us at the entrance of the stairs leading to the basement. Since we had ordered a course menu when we made our reservation, all we had to do was decide whether we wanted pasta or risotto when we ordered. Since it was still in the lingering summer heat, the cold beet soup served after the antipasta cooled us down. Of course, it tasted delicious.

This time, I chose the risotto and my wife chose the pasta. The risotto was mainly vegetables, and the flavor was a little light. Since it was lunch, the portion was adequate. However, since my wife is a small eater, I ate about one-third of the pasta she chose. That filled me up. We had gelato for dessert and finished lunch.

When we paid, we were given the restaurant’s business card. The Colosseum is an amphitheater in Rome. I have visited there twice in the past. In the old days, many events were held there, such as fights between gladiators, or fights between gladiators and ferocious beasts, which excited the people of Rome. If I had been born in those days, I would have liked to see the scenes of those fights, but I would have been horrified if I had been in the position of a gladiator. (End)

Ristorante Italiano “Colosseo”.

J’ai regardé une série d’émissions télévisées intitulée “Déjeuner dans un bâtiment célèbre”. Diffusée à l’origine sur l’architecture rétro à Tokyo, une version Osaka a été créée en 2022 et présente l’architecture rétro à Osaka. Chaque fois, un déjeuner dans un restaurant opérant dans l’architecture rétro est également diffusé. Étant proche de chez moi, j’ai décidé de déjeuner dans l’un des restaurants présentés.

Le bâtiment que nous avons visité était le bâtiment Osaka Norin Kaikan. Il est situé à Minami-Semba, Osaka, mais le jour de notre visite, nous y sommes allés à pied depuis la station Shinsaibashi de la ligne de métro Midosuji. En marchant un peu au nord de la station, nous avons vu un bâtiment qui évoque un sens de l’histoire : il a été conçu et construit par Mitsubishi Estate en 1930 comme la succursale d’Osaka de Mitsubishi Corporation. Nous avons décidé de déjeuner au “Colosseo”, un restaurant italien situé au sous-sol.

Une statue en pierre blanche en forme de lion nous a accueillis à l’entrée de l’escalier menant au sous-sol. Comme nous avions commandé un menu de plats lors de notre réservation, nous n’avions qu’à décider si nous voulions des pâtes ou un risotto au moment de commander. Comme il faisait encore une chaleur estivale persistante, la soupe de betterave froide servie après les antipasta nous a rafraîchis. Bien sûr, elle était délicieuse.

Cette fois, j’ai choisi le risotto et ma femme a choisi les pâtes. Le risotto était principalement composé de légumes, et la saveur était un peu légère. Comme c’était le déjeuner, la portion était adéquate. Cependant, comme ma femme est une petite mangeuse, j’ai mangé environ un tiers des pâtes qu’elle avait choisies. Cela m’a rassasié. Nous avons pris un gelato pour le dessert et avons terminé le déjeuner.

Lorsque nous avons payé, on nous a donné la carte de visite du restaurant. Le Colisée est un amphithéâtre à Rome. Je l’ai visité deux fois dans le passé. Autrefois, de nombreux événements s’y déroulaient, comme des combats de gladiateurs ou des combats de gladiateurs contre des bêtes féroces, qui enthousiasmaient les habitants de Rome. Si j’étais né à cette époque, j’aurais aimé voir les scènes de ces combats, mais j’aurais été horrifié si j’avais été à la place d’un gladiateur. (Fin)
