熊野詣に出かける際に滞在した離宮
京都市伏見区にある城南宮は、平安京に都が遷った時、国の安泰と都の守護を願って創建されたそうです。方位の災いが無いように願って行う方違（かたたがえ）の宿所に離宮の御殿が選ばれることも多く、熊野詣に出かける際は、離宮に7日ほど滞在し、身を清め旅の無事を祈って出かけたそうです。
日、月、星で表す三光の紋
神社境内にあるある城南鳥居には、御神紋とよばれる紋が輝いています。この紋は、日、月、星を表す三光で構成されています。その左右には菊の御紋（皇室の御紋）も輝いており、皇室から尊崇を受けていたことがわかります。
長ーい、長ーいお祈り
朱色の城南鳥居をくぐって拝殿に向かいました。私の前には年配のご夫婦が柏手を打ってお祈りされていました。何を祈っているかはわかりませんが、お二人とも、随分と長い時間の間、祈っておられます。5分以上は祈っていたと思います。私自身、特に急ぐ必要もなかったので、お二人の後ろで待っていました。
ようやく、ご夫婦のお祈りが終わり、私がお祈りを始めると、私の後ろで順番を待っていた方が隣でお祈りを始めました。お祈りが終わった後、隣の方が、あの夫婦、長い間祈っていたけど、一体、何を祈っていたのかなと、半分イライラしながら、また、半分あきれながらつぶやいていました。
何を祈るかは、人それぞれ自由ですが、彼らはあれだけ長く祈っていたのだから、お賽銭も相当なのだろうなと推測します。ちなみに私は5円玉があったので、それをお賽銭として投げ入れました。そのため、お祈り時間も5円分の短いものとなりました。（完）

京都で和菓子作り体験をする際に、海外からの研修生には、この八つ橋を作る体験をしてもらいました。八つ橋を入れる缶に自らオリジナルのラベルを作って貼り付けたり、みなさん非常に楽しまれ、出来上がったものは、お土産として故国に持ち帰られました。

Jounangu Shrine (1)
Jonangu Shrine, located in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, was built to pray for the safety of the nation and the protection of the capital when the capital was relocated to Heian-kyo. The detached palace was often chosen as a place to stay for katatagae, a ritual of praying for the safety of the direction of the direction of the earth. When people went on a Kumano pilgrimage, they would stay at the detached palace for about seven days to purify themselves and pray for the safety of their journey.
The Jonan torii gate on the grounds of the shrine bears a shining crest called the gojinmon, which is the crest of the sun, the moon, and the stars. This crest consists of three lights representing the sun, the moon, and the stars. On either side of the crest shines the imperial crest of chrysanthemum, indicating that the shrine was revered by the imperial family.
I passed through the vermilion Jonan torii gate to the hall of worship. In front of me, an elderly couple was praying with clapping their hands in the Kashiwa-de gesture. I don’t know what they were praying for, but both of them were praying for quite a long time. I didn’t need to hurry myself, so I waited behind them.
Finally, when the couple finished praying and I started praying, the person who was waiting his turn behind me started praying next to me. After the prayer was over, the person next to me muttered, half annoyed and half disappointed, that the couple had been praying for a long time, but what on earth were they praying for?
What they prayed for is up to each person, but since they prayed for such a long time, I assume that their money offerings must have been substantial. Incidentally, I had a 5 yen coin, so I threw it in as a monetary offering. Therefore, the prayer time was also shortened to 5 yen. (End)
Sanctuaire Jounangu (1)
Le sanctuaire Jonangu, situé à Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, a été construit pour prier pour la sécurité de la nation et la protection de la capitale lorsque celle-ci a été déplacée à Heian-kyo. Le palais détaché était souvent choisi comme lieu de séjour pour les katatagae, un rituel de prière pour la sécurité de la direction de la terre. Lorsque les gens partaient en pèlerinage à Kumano, ils restaient au palais détaché pendant environ sept jours pour se purifier et prier pour la sécurité de leur voyage.
La porte Jonan torii située dans l’enceinte du sanctuaire porte une crête brillante appelée gojinmon, qui est la crête du soleil, de la lune et des étoiles. Cet écusson est composé de trois lumières représentant le soleil, la lune et les étoiles. De chaque côté de la crête brille la crête impériale du chrysanthème, indiquant que le sanctuaire était vénéré par la famille impériale.
J’ai franchi la porte Jonan torii de couleur vermillon pour me rendre dans la salle de culte. Devant moi, un couple de personnes âgées priait en frappant des mains dans le geste de Kashiwa-de. Je ne sais pas pour quoi ils priaient, mais ils priaient tous les deux pendant un long moment. Je n’avais pas besoin de me presser, alors j’ai attendu derrière eux.
Finalement, lorsque le couple a fini de prier et que j’ai commencé à prier, la personne qui attendait son tour derrière moi a commencé à prier à côté de moi. Une fois la prière terminée, la personne à côté de moi a marmonné, mi-agacée, mi-déçue, que le couple priait depuis longtemps, mais que diable priaient-ils ?
Ce pour quoi ils priaient est du ressort de chacun, mais puisqu’ils ont prié si longtemps, je suppose que leurs offrandes en argent devaient être substantielles. J’avais d’ailleurs une pièce de 5 yens, que j’ai jetée en guise d’offrande monétaire. Par conséquent, le temps de prière a également été raccourci à 5 yens. (Fin)
