高松塚古墳

高松塚古墳を見る

石舞台古墳の訪問と同日、学生さん達を高松塚古墳にもお連れしました。外観だけでは小さな墳墓ですので、どこにでもあるような墳丘です。とりあえず、周囲を一周してだいたいの大きさを体感してもらいました。

高松塚壁画館に入り、壁画発見当時の現状模写や、一部の復元模写、棺を納めていた石槨の原寸模型、副葬品の太刀装飾金具、木棺金具、海獣葡萄鏡等のレプリカの展示を観ました。海外からの学生さんは事前に調べていたようで、その調査内容を他の学生さんに披露していました。残念ながら母国語で話をされたので、内容まではわかりませんでした。

飛鳥歴史公園を散策

バスと止めていた近くにある飛鳥歴史公園館に向かう道すがら、明日香村の風景を楽しみながら散策しました。正に日本の原風景と呼べる景観を、地元の方々が守られています。いつまでも、この景観を守っていって欲しいと思います。

古墳の案内は難しい

飛鳥歴史公園館では立体模型で、この地域の地形と点在する遺跡について同行のガイドさんから学生さんたちに説明していただきました。今回、学生さんたちを案内しましたが、古墳に興味を持ってもらうのは難しいなと感じました。元々、歴史や古代史に興味のある方でしたら、古びた壁画にも興味を持っていただけると思いますが、そうでもない場合、興味が持続しないですね。

古墳案内の課題が多々見つかりましたので、次回、同じ様な機会がありましたら、改善していきたいと思います。（完）

Takamatsuzuka burial mound

On the same day as our visit to Ishibutai Kofun, we also took the students to Takamatsuzuka Kofun. From the exterior alone, it is a small burial mound, so it is a mound that could be found anywhere. At first, we circled around the tomb to give the students a sense of its approximate size.

We entered the Takamatsuzuka Mural Museum and saw a copy of the mural paintings as they were when they were discovered, a partial reconstruction, a full-size model of the stone burial chamber that housed the coffin, and replicas of burial accessories such as ornamental fittings for a sword, wooden coffin fittings, and a mirror with grapes of sea animals and grapes. Students from overseas seemed to have done their research beforehand and presented their findings to the other students. Unfortunately, they spoke in their native language, so I could not understand what they were talking about.

On the way to the Asuka Historical Park, where we had stopped the bus, we took a walk while enjoying the scenery of Asuka Village. The local people have been protecting the scenery, which can truly be called the original landscape of Japan. I hope that this landscape will be preserved forever.

At the Asuka Historical Park, the accompanying guide explained to the students about the topography of the area and the scattered ruins using a three-dimensional model. As I guided the students around the tombs this time, I felt that it was difficult to get them interested in them. If you are interested in history or ancient history, you may be interested in the old wall paintings, but if you are not, your interest will not be sustained.

We found many issues in guiding visitors to the tombs, and we would like to improve the next time we have a similar opportunity. ( End )

Le tumulus de Takamatsuzuka

Le même jour que notre visite à Ishibutai Kofun, nous avons également emmené les élèves à Takamatsuzuka Kofun. Rien que de l’extérieur, il s’agit d’un petit tumulus funéraire. Au début, nous avons fait le tour de la tombe pour donner aux élèves une idée de sa taille approximative.

Nous sommes entrés dans le musée mural de Takamatsuzuka et avons vu une copie des peintures murales telles qu’elles étaient lorsqu’elles ont été découvertes, une reconstitution partielle, un modèle grandeur nature de la chambre funéraire en pierre qui abritait le cercueil, et des répliques d’accessoires funéraires tels que des garnitures ornementales pour une épée, des garnitures de cercueil en bois, et un miroir avec des raisins et des animaux marins. Les étudiants étrangers semblaient avoir fait leurs recherches à l’avance et ont présenté leurs conclusions aux autres étudiants. Malheureusement, ils s’exprimaient dans leur langue maternelle, si bien que je ne pouvais pas comprendre ce dont ils parlaient.

Sur le chemin du parc historique d’Asuka, où nous avions arrêté le bus, nous nous sommes promenés en admirant le paysage du village d’Asuka. La population locale a protégé le paysage, qui peut vraiment être appelé le paysage original du Japon. J’espère que ce paysage sera préservé pour toujours.

Au parc historique d’Asuka, le guide accompagnateur a expliqué aux élèves la topographie de la région et les ruines dispersées à l’aide d’un modèle tridimensionnel. En guidant les élèves autour des tombes cette fois-ci, j’ai eu l’impression qu’il était difficile de les intéresser. Si vous vous intéressez à l’histoire ou à l’histoire ancienne, vous serez peut-être intéressé par les anciennes peintures murales, mais si vous ne l’êtes pas, votre intérêt ne sera pas soutenu.

Nous avons trouvé de nombreux problèmes dans le guidage des visiteurs vers les tombes, et nous aimerions nous améliorer la prochaine fois que nous aurons une occasion similaire. ( Fin )
