信長の館

セビリア万博で展示された天守

滋賀県の安土城跡近くに、信長の館という展示施設があります。ここには、1992年に開催されたスペイン・セビリア万博にて、日本館のメイン館の展示物として紹介された、安土城天主（復元）の5階6階部分が、設置されています。

セビリアでの万博が終了した後、展示されていた「天主」の5階部分に、発掘調査で出て来た創建当時の瓦を再現して使用したり、6階部分の外壁に金箔を10万枚も使用したり、大屋根に金箔の鯱を取り付けたりして、ここに展示されました。

2回目の安土城登城

安土城（？）に登るのは、私にとって2回目です。もちろん、本物は本能寺の変の後すぐに、焼失していて、天主跡には礎石しか残っていませんが、昔、妻と伊勢を訪れた時に、当時存在した伊勢戦国時代村というテーマパークに、安土城が復元（？）されていました。テーマパークなので、どこまで忠実に再現しているのか覚えていませんが、小高い所に建っていたため、最上階からの眺めは、天下人の気分に浸れるものでした。

金碧障壁画

本物の安土城には狩野永徳たちが金碧障壁画を描いたそうですが、今回見学した安土城ないにも再現されています。天主内には入れないので、障壁画を近くで見られませんが、描かれているのは南蛮人ではなく、古い中国の絵に出てきそうな人物たちが描かれています。

金箔も使って再現しているので、吹きっさらしの野外には展示するのがもったいないのかも知れませんが、やはり、天主は青空の下、聳え立つ姿を見せて欲しいと思いました。（完）

Nobunaga’s Mansion

Near the ruins of Azuchi Castle in Shiga Prefecture, there is an exhibition facility called Nobunaga’s Mansion. The fifth and sixth floors of the main building of Azuchi Castle (restored), which was introduced as the main exhibit in the Japan Pavilion at the 1992 Expo in Seville, Spain, are located here.

After the Expo was over in Seville, the fifth floor of the “Tenshu” was restored using reproductions of tiles from the time of the castle’s founding that were found during excavations, 100,000 sheets of gold leaf were used on the exterior walls of the sixth floor, and gold leaf ornamentation was installed on the main roof.

Azuchi Castle (?) This is the second time for me to climb up to Of course, the real castle was burnt down soon after the Honnoji Incident, and only the foundation stone remains in the ruins of the castle. However, when my wife and I visited Ise a long time ago, we saw a restored (?) version of Azuchi Castle in a theme park called Ise Sengoku Jidai Mura that existed at that time. Since it was a theme park, I do not remember to what extent it was faithfully reproduced, but since it was built on a small hill, the view from the top floor made me feel like a heavenly sovereign.

I heard that Eitoku Kano and others painted gold and blue barrier paintings on the real Azuchi Castle, and they are reproduced in the Azuchi Castle without the castle that we visited this time. Although we were not allowed to enter the castle, we could not get a close-up look at the paintings.

Since they are reproduced using gold leaf as well, it may be a waste to display them in the open air where it is exposed to the elements, but I still thought that the Tenshu should be shown standing tall under a blue sky. (End)

Le manoir de Nobunaga

Près des ruines du château d’Azuchi, dans la préfecture de Shiga, se trouve un centre d’exposition appelé Nobunaga’s Mansion. On y trouve les cinquième et sixième étages du bâtiment principal du château d’Azuchi (restauré), qui a été présenté comme l’exposition principale du pavillon du Japon à l’Expo 1992 de Séville, en Espagne.

Après la fin de l’Expo à Séville, le cinquième étage du “Tenshu” a été restauré en utilisant des reproductions de tuiles de l’époque de la fondation du château qui ont été trouvées lors de fouilles, 100 000 feuilles d’or ont été utilisées sur les murs extérieurs du sixième étage, et des ornements en feuilles d’or ont été installés sur le toit principal.

Château d’Azuchi ( ?) C’est la deuxième fois que je monte au château d’Azuchi. Bien sûr, le vrai château a été incendié peu après l’incident d’Honnoji, et il ne reste que la pierre de fondation dans les ruines du château. Cependant, lorsque ma femme et moi avons visité Ise il y a longtemps, nous avons vu une version restaurée ( ?) du château d’Azuchi dans un parc à thème appelé Ise Sengoku Jidai Mura qui existait à l’époque. Comme il s’agissait d’un parc à thème, je ne me souviens pas dans quelle mesure il a été fidèlement reproduit, mais comme il était construit sur une petite colline, la vue depuis le dernier étage me donnait l’impression d’être un souverain céleste.

J’ai entendu dire qu’Eitoku Kano et d’autres ont peint des barrières dorées et bleues sur le vrai château d’Azuchi, et elles sont reproduites dans le château d’Azuchi sans le château que nous avons visité cette fois. Bien que nous n’ayons pas été autorisés à entrer dans le château, nous n’avons pas pu voir les peintures de près.

Puisqu’elles sont reproduites à la feuille d’or, c’est peut-être un gaspillage de les exposer en plein air, là où elles sont exposées aux éléments, mais j’ai quand même pensé que le Tenshu devait être représenté debout sous un ciel bleu. (Fin)
