最後に来ました青岸渡寺

西国霊場第一番札所 那智山 青岸渡寺（天台宗）は、巡礼の１番目に訪問するお寺です。昔の絵図を見ても、お伊勢参りの後、紀伊半島を東から南下して巡礼を開始している人も多かったようです。

いろいろな巡り合わせで、私が青岸渡寺を訪れたのは33番目、一番最後になってしまいました。熊野三山を巡る中での訪問です。当日は熊野古道のハイライトともいえる大門坂を上ることから始まりました。9月の暑さ真っ盛りの中、汗でシャツをビシャビシャに濡らしながら、山門の下まで到着しました。

西国霊場満願

まずは、横の熊野那智大社にお参りしてから、青岸渡寺にうかがいました。抜けるような青空の下、壮大な本堂が迎えてくれました。御本尊は如意輪観世音菩薩様。お祈りの後、納経所で御朱印をいただき、満願の印並びに満願の証明書もいただきました。

境内をぐるっと回ってみますと、遠くに那智の滝が見えます。三重塔に近づくため滝に向かって降りていくことにしました。カレンダーで見るような構図が切り取れる場所を探し、十分満足のいく写真を取ることができました。やっぱり、快晴は気持ちいいです。

那智の滝でひと涼み

さらに下って、滝つぼのそばまで近づきました。水量は少なかったようです、日本一高さのある瀧だそうで、十分に楽しめました。水が多い滝を見ると、より畏れ多いと感じるのかも知れません。西国霊場の満願を果たし、清々しく滝を後にして大阪に帰りました。（完）

Seigantoji Temple (Wakayama Prefecture)

Last stop, Seigantoji Temple.

Nachisan Seigantoji Temple (Tendai sect), the first temple in the Saigoku Sacred Sites, is the first temple to be visited on the pilgrimage. Looking at old maps, it seems that many people started their pilgrimage from the east down the Kii Peninsula to the south after visiting Ise.

Due to various coincidences, my visit to Seigantoji Temple was the 33rd and the last. This visit was part of my tour of the three Kumano Shrines. The day started with a walk up Daimonzaka stone steps, the highlight of the Kumano Kodo, and in the height of the September heat, I arrived at the bottom of the gate, my shirt drenched with sweat.

Fulfilment of a vow to the God of the Western Japan Sacred Site

First, I paid a visit to Kumano Nachi Taisha Shrine next to the temple, and then went to Seigantoji Temple. Under a clear blue sky, I was welcomed by the magnificent main hall. The main deity of the temple is Nyoirin Avalokiteshvara. After praying, I went to the Sutra Repository to get a red seal, a seal of fulfillment, and a certificate of fulfillment.

As I walked around the temple grounds, I could see the Nachi Waterfall in the distance. To get closer to the three-story pagoda, I decided to walk down toward the waterfall. I looked for a place where I could get a composition like the ones you see in calendars, and I was able to get a satisfactory picture. After all, clear skies are very pleasant.

Cool off at Nachi Falls

I went further down and came close to the waterfall basin. There didn’t seem to be much water, but I heard it was the tallest waterfall in Japan, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe seeing a waterfall with a lot of water makes me feel more awe-inspiring. I left the waterfall feeling refreshed after fulfilling my prayers at the sacred site in the western part of Japan, and returned to Osaka. (End)

Temple Seigantoji (préfecture de Wakayama)

Dernier arrêt, le temple Seigantoji.

Le temple Nachisan Seigantoji (secte Tendai), premier temple des sites sacrés de Saigoku, est le premier temple à visiter lors du pèlerinage. En examinant les cartes anciennes, il semble que de nombreuses personnes aient commencé leur pèlerinage en partant de l’est, en descendant la péninsule de Kii vers le sud, après avoir visité Ise.

En raison de diverses coïncidences, ma visite au temple Seigantoji était la 33e et la dernière. Cette visite faisait partie de ma tournée des trois sanctuaires de Kumano. La journée a commencé par une montée des marches en pierre de Daimonzaka, le point culminant du Kumano Kodo, et au plus fort de la chaleur de septembre, je suis arrivé en bas de la porte, ma chemise trempée de sueur.

Accomplissement d’un vœu au Dieu du site sacré de l’ouest du Japon

J’ai d’abord rendu visite au sanctuaire Kumano Nachi Taisha, situé à côté du temple, puis je suis allé au temple Seigantoji. Sous un ciel bleu clair, j’ai été accueilli par le magnifique hall principal. La déité principale du temple est Nyoirin Avalokiteshvara. Après avoir prié, je suis allé au Dépôt des sutras pour obtenir un sceau rouge, un sceau d’accomplissement et un certificat d’accomplissement.

En me promenant dans l’enceinte du temple, j’ai pu voir la cascade de Nachi au loin. Pour me rapprocher de la pagode à trois étages, j’ai décidé de descendre vers la cascade. J’ai cherché un endroit où je pourrais obtenir une composition comme celles que l’on voit dans les calendriers, et j’ai réussi à obtenir une photo satisfaisante. Après tout, un ciel clair est très agréable.

Se rafraîchir aux chutes de Nachi

Je suis descendu plus bas et je me suis approché du bassin de la cascade. Il ne semblait pas y avoir beaucoup d’eau, mais j’ai entendu dire que c’était la plus haute chute d’eau du Japon, et j’ai beaucoup apprécié. Peut-être que voir une chute d’eau avec beaucoup d’eau me donne l’impression d’être plus impressionnante. J’ai quitté la cascade en me sentant rafraîchi après avoir accompli mes prières sur le site sacré de l’ouest du Japon, et je suis rentré à Osaka. (Fin)
